Above and Beyond

A message from Lisa Sherwin

Last night I had the opportunity to network among companies at an event hosted by the Software Association of Oregon. While introducing myself to new contacts, I met a lot of interesting people involved in the local tech scene.

Most notably, I talked with a marketing manager for a popular outdoor brand. Let's call this marketing manager "Dave" to protect the innocent. I asked Dave about his past experience with PR and he began raving about his PR firm. For the last seven years, through thick and thin (even changing jobs himself), Dave stayed with the same PR firm. This is a heavy feat for a service-based company in an industry where turnover is common.

Pleasantly surprised, I asked him: "Why? What makes you so happy working with this particular PR firm?"

He explained that his PR team regularly goes above and beyond. They are truly invested in his success.

This is the kind of reputation Nereus continues to secure. These are the kind of comments our team members live and breathe to hear. As Nereus comes up on its seven-year anniversary in August 2009, I think about the opportunities where we can go above and beyond for our clients.
