Message from the President
Looking Back and Moving Forward
A Message from Lisa Sherwin
Looking back...
Our clients regularly ask us about our past experience as we work with them to build new communications plans. When implementing new strategies and tactics, it is extremely important to evaluate past activities. There are always lessons to be learned - activities that worked well, new bloggers to target or messages that didn't resound. The key is to avoid simply "doing what we did last year" and learn from the pros and cons of our many programs.
We ask hard questions about results and achievements, and we push ourselves to improve upon them.
- "What has worked well in the past?"
- "What activities haven't given you the results you need?"
- "What did success look like before?"
- "What is different today from yesterday?"
Through questions like these, we learn how to improve our strategies and create even more success for our clients moving forward.
Moving forward...
Once we've learned key lessons from the past, the Nereus team hones that knowledge and looks for cutting-edge communications tools to use for future projects. Since Nereus opened its doors in 2002, the field of communications has changed drastically. For example, the ability to speak directly to our target audiences through new online tools has given us brand new channels for client messages.
- "Are there any new media tools that specifically help us reach this audience?"
- "Could video communications aid in delivering this message?"
- "Could this project benefit from a traditional press release or a social media release?"
With new tools, the Nereus team constantly keeps your key messages and your target audiences top-of-mind. This has opened the door for our clients to gain even more success from their communications programs.
Looking back and moving forward...
As I look back at the work we've done for our clients, I'm proud to be a part of many successful strategies and programs. Later this month, I'll depart Nereus to pursue new challenges. Moving forward, my colleague and Nereus general manager, Lori Zielinski, will succeed my leadership post. Along with the same Nereus team, she will continue to go above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction. It has been a great seven years, and I would like to thank all of you for letting me partner with you for your success.
Drop Lori a note today - the Nereus team would like to help you look back at lessons learned from your past communications strategies and move forward with new approaches and strategies.
